Almost a decade ago, Klaus Schwab (founder of the World Economic Forum) described the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a wave of tech-driven change shaping the future of work.

Fast forward to today, advancements in AI like OpenAI’s SORA (text-to-video generation) are showing how fast we’re moving toward that vision. The only thing is that AI doesn’t just work perfectly out of the box, it needs the right instructions.

💡 Enter Prompt Engineering:
Similar to how software engineers write code to produce software, prompt engineers write prompts to get AI to deliver the perfect output.

Here’s what I’m seeing right now:

  • Marketplaces for Prompts: Platforms like PromptBase(https://promptbase.com/) are popping up and let people buy and sell prompts, just like Fiverr for freelancers.
  • Increase in full-time jobs: Companies are now hiring Prompt Engineers in places like London. I’ve seen jobs advertised with salaries between £90k–£135k per year.

🤔 Why This Matters: The future of work is changing before our eyes. Jobs like “Prompt Engineer” didn’t exist a few years ago, and this is only the beginning. The tech landscape will continue to create jobs we can’t even imagine yet.

Whether or not prompt engineering is for you, it’s proof that staying informed on emerging tech isn’t optional, it’s how you stay future-ready. 🌐

Here’s a short video I made using HailuoAI(https://hailuoai.video/). It came out okay until the woman blinks like an alien… But it’s all part of the process and I’m still working on my prompt engineering skills.
